About this domain
What happened to KyteTime.
If you came here looking for the KyteTime dashboard, or for the app that went with it, the short answer is that it is not on this address any more and we are not the people who ran it.
What KyteTime was
KyteTime was the parent-facing web dashboard for KytePhone, an Android app that turned a standard phone into a restricted kid's phone — a locked-down launcher with an approved contact list, app limits and location for parents. The dashboard ran on this domain around 2013 and 2014, with the usual pages of a small SaaS product: a login, a list of connected phones, per-device reports and settings. The Internet Archive's captures still show them.
KytePhone itself was a separate product with its own website, which at the time of writing is still online as a static page. We have no connection to it and cannot speak for its current status.
What is here now
The domain lapsed and we bought it. "We" is the team behind Geopapa, a family locator app for parents. We publish guides about kids' phones and parental controls on this address.
To be explicit, because expired domains get reused deceptively often enough that it is worth spelling out:
- This site is not a continuation of KyteTime or KytePhone, and not endorsed by whoever operated them.
- We hold no KyteTime accounts, no user data, no children's location history and no records of any kind from the old service. None of it transferred with the domain, and we would not want it.
- We have not republished any of the original site's content, and the names KytePhone and KyteTime are used here only to describe what was here before.
- Everything on this domain since 2026 is ours, and every page says who publishes it.
If you had a KyteTime account
There is nothing we can do about it, but here is what is worth knowing:
- Your login will not work anywhere on this domain.
Old dashboard addresses such as
/loginnow lead to this page. If any site asks you for KyteTime credentials, it is not connected to the original service either — do not enter them. - If you reused that password elsewhere, change it. Standard advice for any service that has gone away.
- Any subscription would have been billed by the original operator. Check your card statement for old recurring charges and, if one is still running, dispute it with your bank rather than with us.
- The child app will have stopped reporting to a dashboard that no longer exists. On a phone still running it, removing the app and setting up controls from scratch is the clean route — our guide to the built-in controls starts from nothing.
Locked-down launcher apps like KytePhone were a 2013 answer to a problem Android and iOS now handle themselves. Google Family Link and Apple's Screen Time cover most of what that generation of products sold, at no cost. Start there before you buy anything.
